Help finding a reptile vet..
Hey guys - need some help. I have a vet I normally use that's pretty good with reptiles.. Dr. Stair @ trucksville dog and cat hospital in Dallas, Pennsylvania. I have a really sick uromastyx that was given to me and I'd like someone who has more experience with reptiles.. Dr. Stair is great for the basics, but this is a Very serious case of neglect by the previous owner and I need someone that has worked with reptiles this sick. He's got a hunchback, nails that are over a half inch long and mangled, just kind of drags himself. And has a problem with his mouth. I think this is hypocalcemia to it's worst degree and I want to get him started on intense therapy, and if it can't be corrected, unfortunately, I'll put him out of his misery and humanely euthanize him. I have a feeling a vet not experienced in reptiles will just want to euthanize him.
My zip code is 18407. If someone has access to a good vet search site, can you help me out? I'm willing to drive if need be, however far it takes to get him to a good reptile vet.
Thanks guys!
