My juvi boas are kept on unprinted newspaper, adults on singleface corrugated so substrate ingestion isn't a concern, Utta keeps his retics on the dunnage as well (unprinted kraft/newspaper).

I keep my corn and king on aspen bedding, as long as the feeders aren't wet, I just feed them and don't worry about any ingestion. If it is a concern, you could try sliding in some cardboard or even a Frisbee and feed over that? I've done that before as well but half the time, the snake would pull the feeder off when they coiled anyways. lol

Currently he is on aspen, I may change to butcher paper or just keep aspen!
