MMJ patients. Concentrate users. Best for pain relief?

Hello
I'm looking for input for my wife and I. Both are on the NYS list of reasons to be able to use when it's legal. I'm not looking for a drug users convention here. Looking for true MMJ users. Not social users.

We are looking for MMJ users to share their experiences for relief. I personally have been using so long, that I don't think it does much in the way of any pain relief. I'm wondering if I'm just too tolerant? I just picked up my first concentrate, other than hash or kief. Oil actually. This seems to be better for me,my wife is not a fan,and smoking is killing her. I am using a vape for my nicotine, and boy have my lungs cleared up. No wheeze,no coughing, love it. But,what is vaping concentrates going to do to me? Especially in the long run! I smoke from 8 joints a day to 15,depending on my activity level for the day. I did this while working asphalt for many years. (family owned ) I just don't want to over do the concentrates. I'm already burning way too much material and oil is not cheap here in NYS! But,being that I'll be able to grow legally for myself,I guess I can make my own concentrates.
We do not like the feeling when ingesting food from butter made snacks. Maybe too strong,I made my own. Lol. I'm an old time burner for fun.

Ok,so why do people feel pain relief from pot? Neither my wife or I feel any true relief without our prescribed pills. I haven't heard any off my friends saying they get any type of pain relief from any MMJ. So what's going on with the people who do? I can tell you, most strains make me eat. Not good for me. It also gets rid of my stomach aches.
Any thoughts from real patients would be welcomed. Not looking for sarcasm about use!! Any better ways to use. I use an Eleaf istick 30 watt with a micro skillet, dual ceramic rods and 2.1 ohms atomizer to vape the concentrate and my nic atomizer is a nautilus mini. I'm hoping to quit using nic all together.
All info wanted please. We are tired of the pills, and I'm sure my kidneys would like a break from all the Tylenol in the Percs.

Rich I am a recent mmj user due to a rear ending from a bus and my epilepsy I found that pain is dulled but not taken away and marijuana makes it at least for me bearable if you want good pain relief don't vape or smoke but make it into edibles which like pill take a about an hour to kick in and you stay numb for a few hours. also try high grade indica dominate strains for the active cbd level is much higher and works more for pain then thc does. also look for high percentage thc levels of 20 to 25% thc as for vaping it buy a mech mod with aspire tank and get co2 concentrates.

Hi Gordon
Most of what we use is indica dominant,if not pure strains. I've even grown my own by indoor and outdoor and even hydro. We did make butter and it was very strong, but still did not relieve much pain. I get the "bearable" part, but not nearly enough. And I hate the affects of eating! I will not eat again. I just don't like it,all 5-6 times I've tried. My wife doesnt like eating either. When smoking for so long,it's a hard change.

One problem is,I'm in NY and we can't just go to a med shop. I've bought some great seeds over the years, and grew several strains of top lines. We both prefer indicas ove sativas. We prefer the body high,as you say,to make a bit more tolerable. But still need pills to rid the pain.

I have a mod,it's the Eleaf 30 watt Istick. Works perfectly!! I have to use a micro skillet atomizer because there's no liquid concentrates in Ny that I can get . Yet! I'm not sure how to turn my oil into a thinner product to use in my tank. I already use an aspire for my nicotine. I've looked on line, but too many people with too many ideas that I'm not sure of. I have no one to talk to yet around here. We've been looking, but people here are still worried and don't open up. Me,I could care less,it's just pot and I need to have my meds,so I won't be scared of the little problems they currently have. It's a ticket, that's all.

Do you make your own concentrate liquids?? I want to turn my I'll into something to use in my tank, but still need it to be strong enough. What's co2 concentrates? How can I make?

living in Washington I guess I am kinda privileged I'm pretty sure that if you look up marijuana infused e-liquid you can find away to thin your oil with pg or vg liquid... don't mind my typing just had back surgery and the gabapentin and oxycodone I am taking is slowing my thought process down

I totally understand.

Yea,I wish I could pack up and move. I'd be there. That's what I get, oxycodone( perks). I'm at the point I have to eat 3 to get the relief I used to get from 1 a few years ago. Just the addiction I don't want. I'm tired of pills!! I'm trying everything I can to get away from the perks. It won't be long before we can get some mmj service here in NY.
It's pretty rough here,NY gov. Is a piece of garbage. Time for him to go!! He took forever to make a law and it's only covering a couple illnesses out of the many. But he did leave it open for the head of the department of something medical. This way they could add more illnesses to the list. Hopefully this head sees the many other illnesses that MMJ would be used for. We'll see soon enough.

I hope you feel better and your surgery helps!!
