Worth starting a project?

It looks like I'm about to get a 400 gram caramel albino male as part of a group trade. I'm having a hard time finding very many caramels for sale and I'm wondering if they have fallen out of favor.

Is it worth getting a het female (I know about kinking from visual to visual) and producing more caramels or has their time past?

I'm trying to decide if I should keep him or sell him.

Here is the male:

caramels have fallen flat, there are other morph's that do the same thing as caramels but with no kinking, i think the ultramels and ciders are more better than caramels IMO

I was wondering if the ultramels had edged them out. I may just keep him as a pet...I like his look.

You can get kinking from visual to het or het to het breeding...as far as I know, the kinking and female sub-fertility issues lie within the homozygous caramel, so however you go about producing them, risks remain the same.

Well getting caramel pieds was going to be an ultimate goal! But perhaps I should look into ultramel pied instead. I know a few people have started that.

Certain lines do better then others. Im not sure what line mine is but supposedly it doesnt have the caramel "problems", however, shes a very sporadic eater and may not ever get to weight for breeding for me. If you know what line the male above you have is, you may be able to get a het female from a different line and be successful.

Codom's will fall flat... Not Recessive's... Those who stay loyal will reap.....

From reading different forums and seeing different opinions my understanding is when mixed with spider gene there has not been any kinking in any of the babys I personally have no experience with this but find it interesting if this is the case may change outlook on them.
