When to purchase babies?

I know the breeding season is in the spring and eggs hatch in the summer. So when is the earliest that breeders will begin selling 2007 babies, and what are the best months to look for the best selection of babies? I'm going to be looking for several morphs in 07. (okeetee, crimson, and amber) Thanks.

I'd say July. Though some breeders who don't brumate will have them earlier.

Well, I'll be putting my first pairs together January. So I'd expect to have babies May-June. Usually the rush of hatchlings happens July & August.

It sort of depends on the chances you want to take. I never had babies available until the first parts of August because I wouldn't sell them until they had eaten 5 consecutive feeding (5 days apart) some people will sell them out of the egg.

The earliest is probably May, but the pickings will be thin. The best selection would be August and September, when most breeders are in the middle of their productivity. The best buys are most likely in October and November, when breeders are winding down and trying to clear out their stock for the year.

A few breeders have altered the "seasons" of some of their breeders and one already has eggs laid for the '07 season, so you can expect some hatchlings for sale around March/April.
