Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Name that morph! (Corn Snake)
Saw this little hatchling at my local pet store. Noticed that unusual dorsal pattern that begins near the base of the head and extends most of the way down the body, however becomes normal closer towards the tail. I should have inspected the ventral scales to see if there was a checker pattern because I know striped and motley do not have the checkered pattern. Other than that, it's just amelanistic as far as I know. Maybe selectively bred to produce that pattern.

I believe you are correct that it's a selective/line bred trait and not a true recessive/codom morph, but it's been a few years since I worked with corns.
