Small monitor

My neighbor just offered to give me a 39 gallon long aquarium and i was wondering if there is any monitor that could be housed in that size tank?

THanks

How about an ackie? I don't have 1 but they are said to be good monitors for beginers. I know the are fun to watch and don't take up a lot of space.

Yeah, either an ackie or a storri would fit nicely in one of those. Heck, you could probably house a pair in there, although bigger is always better. Ackies make great starter monitors. They're a bit more expensive since they're australian, but the money is worth it. The little guys just have so much personality, and tame up really well. Also, their small size and cricket based diet means you'll never really have to worry about losing a finger to them like you do with some of the larger starting monitors. A Peach Throat could also work. They're a bit bigger than ackies and storri, but a still around the same price range if I remember correctly. Only drawback is the ones I've interacted with have not been anywhere near as nice and engaging as the ackies I've seen. Hope this helps,

J
