Other classifieds don't allow replies. Maybe this is the answer.
To be honest, i barely get any leads from posting ads on this site, so becoming a paying member here just isn't justified for me.Not that it's the sites fault, but there are too many window shoppers, and not enough buyers here.
Whatever the solution, i'll deal with it.

Ok so I tried to skim through the posts and didn't read through everything, but to those that are complaining about "having to pay" to have bumping rights, have you ever though about the time / money it takes to go into running a forum like this? Not only is he having to pay a programmer to fix this issue he is having to pay for a database that can hold all the posts / information on the site. So I totally agree that the people that help pay for this should have special rights!

I'm not a contributing member here, but I'm also not complaining about the temporary fix put into place because I agree that it's bs that people are bumping their threads any time they see it go off the first page. The thing is, that if you dont bump your posts constantly you are basically hoping someone goes to the 8th+ page looking for animals or there is a person looking for exactly what you are selling at the exact time you post your thread or bump it.

So you think of every possible question and place it in your ads?

I dont think so

I was just using a for instance....

Sometimes we place ads when we are tired or have other things on our minds and we forget to put something in that should of been, but then someone asks a question and we remember it. We're thankful for the question and in the end that info gets out to the viewing public.

Actually... that would be marketing... not BS. How many times do you hear the same commercial on the radio within a couple of hours. Your putting your information out there and hoping to hit the most amount of people with it.

I move my ads up once a day... I am actively marketing my animals. If someone wants to be lazy... then they cant complain that those of us that do market our animals left them floating in the breeze. I also place the same morphs in one ad (so your not gonna see 10 anery's posts for sale.. just one)

RICH..... Why not allow paid members to do manual bumps... and registered members cant? Leave the lowest level $25 and this gives folks a reason to donate. You can still post your ad for free, but you wont be able to bump it

Again this is a TEMPORARY solution. It probably won't last more than a few days under the current restraints.

I hate when people make this stupid comment. Who are you to tell anyone that they shouldn't own a reptile just because some may not be able to squeeze money from a stone. Some people here may live on a buget, and what little animals they may have fits nicely in that buget. If you wanted to make this a memebers only site then that's what it should have been a long time ago. Why should paying members be the only ones to be able to bump their ads? Does it make them or their animals better than anyone else's just because they paid. And to be honest, the only people that I think would have a problem with non-donating memebers be able to bump their ad, is the BIG name breeders who's panties are in a bunch because he wants his ads to stay on the front page.

Hello, left field. I don't know what thread you are reading but it certainly isn't this one.

True, but that's what we have mods for also, to be our so called "site police", to protect the integrity of this site. But instead of doing that, they are running around giving infractions and bans to whoever disagrees with them

Moderators are not code encryption experts. They are not website experts. They are people who dedicate their time to clean up the website.
