Help! Lizard Identification!

My husband brought home this lizard yesterday from a oil site here in Oklahoma! I am having trouble identifying him or her I got some feedback from another forum and they were thinking her might be a fence lizard? I think he looks a little like a sage brush lizard. I really want to correctly identify him so we can properly care for him since my son decided that he wants to keep him. Please help! Thank you!

It does look like a fence lizard. Given you're in Oklahoma, prob eastern fence lizard. That's my best guess

I am just stumped on the pattern. I have not been able to find a single picture of a fence lizard with stripes down the body. :/

I think that given its in the genus Sceloporus, the care will be very similar. What part of OK are you in? The eastern fence lizard has a huge range across the state. Sagebrush is in genus Sceloporus as well.

I think that might be a prairie fence lizard, sceloporus consobrinus, but not sure.

Do you plan to set it up and keep it?

Definitely genus Sceloporus. I'm thinking Sceloporus cowlesi, a Southwestern fence, but we all agree it's a fence, so care should be fairly easy

That's a really nice find! Does it have any blue on the belly?
