major? problems

been away for a few days. eeeek 5. and my male aint doing so great. its hsid amn cycle of winter. hes really down on weight and he always does this, but usually he doesnt go too far down. anything to help hi mstart eating? the temps are fine. 92 hot spot, 72 other end of the cage. 2 water bowls basking rock humidity hovers between 10 and 25% usually. so its not his environment. its been the same, yes the same for awhile. i might try an appetite stimulant fro mpetsmart tmmrw.

Perhaps a fecal test is in order?

i would, but i cant see the reasoning for it. hes been in the exact same envrironment for the last year. and i have other geckos in with him that are pigging out. im makigna slurry today to get him going. hopefully it will work. i cant even do a fecal i dont think. he hasnt pooped. and he isnt impacted, hes on carpeting. ill gve it another week b4 i do anything vet related.

Do the slurry. If you don't have pedialyte, I suggest getting some. Sometimes dehydration is your worst enemy.

Don't forget that leopard geckos can become infected with some types of parasites and bacterial infections if you feed crickets.

Not to mention he may have has parasites before you put him into cooling, but the stress from cooling let them multiply to a dangerous level. Not to mention having him housed with other leos that are so robust may cause him not too feed. Also causing him stress which will further lower his immune system.

If you ask for advice, please take it. Espessially if it is from someone with experience.

Crickets carry pinworms, which numbers may have risen during cooling.

An experienced vet can perform a "cloacal smear" and test for parasites that way, without a stool sample.
