Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I traded with Micheal Ogburn last year I gave him a sick woma
(he knew it was sick). He gave me an adult het albino male ball. Well I bred him this year to a Het female(from a major breeder) with no albinos out of 5 eggs. I no that this can happen naturally. BUT just be careful when buying hets. <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=' '>

I know that you know this (because you implied you did in your post), but it seems to me that five eggs just isn't enough of a test field to be sure about anything concerning the genetics of either of your animals, let alone the one from Michael Ogburn. I don't know either of you, but I would think that you would refrain from mentioning the guy's name until you were sure that he either had or had not lived up to his end of the bargain.
Even if the statistical average held true for each and every clutch (we all know it doesn't), you still would have only been looking for one or MAYBE two eggs hatch out as albinos out of a clutch of five eggs. Since it is entirely possible that you have two hets there and you were just a bit unlucky this time around, I certainly would not have mentioned the guy's name on this board at this time. If you are not making any accusations against him, why mention his name (especially in opposition to the unnamed "major breeder")? If you are making an accusation, surely you have to realize that you need more evidence than one clutch of five babies to say the guy lied to you/ripped you off.
Am I completely off base here?

Darin,
You are not at all off base......I think that was an Excellent post! I also think it was quite uncalled for, for the originator of this post to include that last sentence. Almost as if he Does want to hold this Michael Ogburn responsible. Just my opinion.

Darin,
I agree 100% with your comments. Yes, we have to be careful when buying heteros, but that last sentence was unnecessary at this point in time. Hopefully statistics will be on Michael's side next year or maybe even the year after.
Best regards,

I agree with you guys !!!
I have not purchased from Michael Ogburn, but did have the pleasure of meeting and selling him animals.
We talked several hours and spoke of his collection. I found him to be very pleasent and seemed like an honest person.
I think it's just way too early to tell the outcome on the hets.
Just my thoughts
Thanks
Shawn

I am not accusing anyone of anything, I am merely saying be careful. The possibility of 0 albinos happens but not very often at all. I am planning on trying again next year, and will let you know the results.
