Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

All-pro shipping?
Just wondering if anyone else has had extra charges appear weeks after a shipment has been made through Ship Your Reptiles? Dimensions are entered correctly and boxes are weighed. I've had this happen a few times over the last few months. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Have you asked THEM about this situation?

Did you schedule a pickup or drop off the package?
If you did pickup, there is an extra pickup charge that is applied.

I've never been charged a pickup fee I don't think, unless it's included in the original price? I have been charged for miss weighing a package though.

I emailed them last week when I noticed the charge. I always drop the shipment at the warehouse. I weigh everything before I book the shipment and use pre-measured boxes. I'm not trying to call them out on anything. Just asking to see if anyone else has had it happen to them.

I wasn't suggesting that you were calling them out.....but they would probably be in the best position to explain the extra charge.
As far as pre-measured boxes, you can't always count on that. Sometimes the boxes are a little off, and sometimes the way we pack/seal them changes the size. If FedEx measures, and the box is 1/4" over....they round up an inch for that measurement.
My 12x8x6 boxes get billed at 12x9x7 (I got them on sale because they were a little shy of 12 inches long, or it would probably be 13x9x7)

You are right Harald, that inch round up is very common for both FedEx and UPS. Box manufacturers spec a box, for example the 12x9x6 box, based in INTERIOR measurements. The outside measurement may be slightly larger, depending on how the box is glued up, and then taped up. Any bulges count as over as well.
It doesn't make sense to spec interior dims, but that is what they do. We encourage folks to measure each individual box to enter actual dims in for an accurate rate.
Brandon, I sent you an email with more details on the dims of that particular shipment.

Wellllllllll.......it makes sense if you've got an item of known dimensions that you want to fit inside a box.
