Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Jason, I do remember that post, but I was referring to the post where San Diego Viv. came out themselves and had a LONG post telling what they new etc. I had responded to it and the thread was deleted.

Sorry, but I only now got around to reading this thread.
Bill Cagle has not been banned from this site. spam_Nor has he contacted me to tell me he has been having problems registering with the system. Apparently he does not know how to complete the registration process, as he has not clicked on the completion link sent to his email address when he registered. spam_I can't help that.
So Bill, please explain to me how it is you came to the conclusion that you were banned from this site? spam_Any evidence other than you do not know how to register here?
When you register, the steps are explained clearly. spam_I have posted at least one message up in the administrative section about this. spam_If someone STILL cannot figure out how to register with this system so they can post, then that is not my problem.
So, Bill, simply find that email that was sent to the email you provided during the registration process, and READ it. spam_Then follow the instructions provided. spam_It's really just that simple.
If more than 10 days have elapsed since you attempted the registration process, you will have to re-register as your record will have automatically been deleted from the system.
Addendum added:
I just went and read this entire thread. Amazing the number of people whom will jump to a conclusion just because my attention has been elsewhere lately. Just to make the point clear here: THIS IS NOT THE ONLY THING I DO IN MY LIFE. IT IS ALSO NOT THE NUMBER 1 THING I DO OR CARE ABOUT.
Bill, to be honest I don't even REMEMBER you, much less any conversation we might have had in the past. NO ONE is banned from this site at all. Only those people whom have not been able to follow the steps to properly register cannot post in the BOI.
Tony Basica, no, nothing is selectively enforced. As best I can, I try to be completely objective about what is said and do not care WHOM is saying it. What you may not understand is that I don't spend every waking moment reading every message in every thread here. We're getting into my busy season with my own animals, and I have to give that priority. Not to mention that in the VERY recent past, I have had to recover from James Thornton having the plug pulled on the server my system resided on, lease another server, build my site from scratch, lease yet another server when I found the first one to be inadequate, and all of the attendent minor brain-numbing details that all entailed. And I should drop everything to smack someone on the wrist for making a duplicate thread? Yeah, that sure should be tops on my priority list! Not....
Moderation of this forum will be 'as time and interest allows'. If I hand you the tools to build your business and you instead chop your feet off, then that's the way it has to be. I'm seen more than one person come in here and shoot themselves in the foot with their words. In many cases, this has been well deserved, and I am not about to step in and pull their own feet out that are shoved down their throats.
I expect people to act like grownups. And, like it or not, I am going to assume that everyone here acts like that. I will step in on occasion to prune off some messages that are blatant violations or blatant slaps at any reasonable person's sensibilities, but for the most part I am just handing you all the tools to use however you deem best.
Yes, I can and will ban people that prove to be a complete disruption of this site, but so far I have not seen the need to do that. Let me repeat this: NO ONE IS BANNED FROM POSTING ON THIS SITE.

I have just gone into the ADMIN control panel and found Bill Cagle's registration record. It list it as still awaiting authorisation (wish Ikonboard would spell that word correctly!. I have manually approved his registration, as he never clicked on the link provided in the verification email sent to him.
He now has full rights to post messages on the BOI, if he chooses to do so.

The above is the webslave response to me about this subject. All I have to say is that the webslave has be made aware MANY MANY times that, Chris Red ? Or who knows what his actual name is has repeatedly posted more and more NEW posts about the exact same situation, violating the BOI rules and guidelines also that he continues to post using a ficticious I guess "stage" name eventhough he admits that it is NOT his actual name again in violation of rules and guidelines set forth by the webslave. Some people have their posts deleted immediately for not having their proper or full name but for some reason Chris whatever seems to be able to do whatever he wants on this board
Unfortunately I am glad that he has gotten the information out in public as the public deserves to know what going on but on the same hand if the rules of this board are not held to the utmost highest standards than it will become a useless tool

Tony - quite frankly, if you don't like how I run things on the *free* board provided to you and everyone else, then you are welcome to leave. I cannot and WILL NOT take my valuable time to track down the names people post to make sure they are legitimate. How do you propose someone would do that? For instance, how do I know YOUR name is really yours? Require you to send me a copy of your driver's license? There are over 800 registered members here now. Do you think I should require that from ALL of them as well?
I've put in as many safeguards as I can to try to keep legitimate posters ONLY posting messages in here, but there isn't anything on this earth that someone can't circumvent. So I am giving it my best effort, and that will have to be that.
As for those highest standards you mentioned, well aren't you looking a gift horse in the mouth over this? Yes, I likely could more strictly control people whom access this site, but in order to do so, I would have to incorporate paid registration and have the payment method be the verification of someone's identity. That will be a lot of time and work on my part to do that. Are you willing to pay for it? My time is valuable to me, so it won't be cheap.
I'm working on getting advertising working on this site so it can remain free to everyone, with the advertisers footing the bill. Do you want me to drop that and go with paid subscriptions instead to try to uphold those highest standards you mention? Or do you have another plan that would work instead? How about paying me by the hour to do the work you want me to do? Like I said, it won't be cheap, but I'm willing to listen to reasonable offers.
So far I have LOST money by providing this free site to everyone and gotten mostly grief from people whining because it's not perfect enough for them. And I'm not even counting a dollar figure per hour that I have put in, to date, with maintaining this site.
So let me put this bluntly and to the point: You either take this board AS IS, whether you like it or not, or you are welcome to leave at any time. I believe the time and effort I am putting into it already is not worth the pay I receive, and I can see absolutely NO reason at all to expend any more of my time, energy, efforts, and money to do it any better than it already is. If you want a PERFECT system, then by all means do it yourself. I'm sure you will have a grand time at it, and it will be an effortless exercise for you.
So in closing, I have absolutely no incentive whatsoever to try to please everyone here. You got one to offer? WHY should I put more into this than I already have?

Dear Mr. Webslave, thank you for your email. I appreciate your explanation, but I attempted to register for days, doing the steps exactly the way you described. I have copied and pasted below the error message I received:
Sorry, you do not have permission to reply to that topic
You are currently logged in as BILL CAGLE
< <Go Back
When I tried to email you for help, this is the email I received. I have copied and pasted it below:
You are not allowed to use the messenger feature on this board
You are currently logged in as BILL CAGLE
< <Go Back
Here is the email you sent me this morning. I have copied and pasted it as well:
Bill,
There appears to be some sort of misunderstanding you are under concerning the
Board of Inquiry. spam_You are not banned from the site. spam_Never have been. spam_What
has happened is that when you registered with the Ikonboard message board
system, it sends an email to the email address you provided during the
registration process. spam_The purpose of this email is to verify that the email
address you provided is legitimate. spam_In order to complete the process, you
needed to click on a link within this email to send notification to the system
that the email actually reached you. spam_This then allows me to approve the final
step in the registration process and allow you to post messages.
Yeah, I know this sounds like a pain in the butt, but it is fairly effective at
keeping people from posting anonymously. spam_There are ways around it, of course,
but so far it seems to be working reasonably well.
I have manually gone into the system and found your registration record, which
indicated that the system was in limbo waiting for you to click on that link in
the email. spam_I bypassed that step and approved your registration. spam_You now have
full rights to post messages on the BOI or anywhere else on the
FaunaClassifieds site if you choose to do so.
To be honest, I did not remember any past discussions we had, so when you
claimed I had banned you from the site, I didn't have a clue what you were
talking about. spam_All you would have needed to do was to send me an email and
this would have all been straightened up right away.
The thread where I first became aware of your problem posting is at:
http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/cgi-bin....64;st=0
Take care.

I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt on this one, but I definately followed all the steps, including the last step you spoke about above. It's funny that all of a sudden, this morning you fixed everything. Regardless of your reasoning behind this, thanks for giving me the ability to post again. I've had three different people call and tell me that they have had similar problems when dealing with you. Oh yea, and about you not remembering me, I can't give you the benefit of the doubt for that one. I don't believe that BS for one minute. As you boys say, "Just my .02". Thanks again for your explanation and your prompt attention to this matter.

Wow, I wrote an enormous message on here and have decided there really is no point in doing so. Webslave keep on doing what you are doing, it is NOT your responsibility to keep all the posters that apparently CAN'T read and follow the very simple rules to post on this board that would make it an extremely useful tool to people searching for information. I apologize for even bringing you into this, I've dealt with the same situation and it takes a massive amount of time and you are doing what you can.
For everyone else, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you must make a new post simply go back and re-read how to PROPERLY post something, this is not simply a discussion forum, it is here to post positive and negative experiences in regards to specific breeders so that people looking to deal with them has more information before getting involved with that specific dealer.
