Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

wtrepluva	How Old To Breed? Hi All, I have a year old female Redfoot Tortoise that is 8" straight shell length. I was wondering when she would be big enough and old enough to breed. I live in Houston, and the climate is great for redfoots. Humid days, warm temps, and tons of green vegetation. She should breed pretty easy since these conditions are much like her home climate. I was also wondering how people who keep their torts outside & breed them deal with egg laying. Do you just watch them as much as possible to see when they lay, or are there other methods? Thanks allot for all the info. ~Walter~
