Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Inquiry on joseph Bukenya Mugasha in Uganda Africa
Hi, I have been discussing a transaction with joseph Bukenya Mugasha for about a week now. He is an exporter from Uganda. He seems very professional but wanted to check here before I sent the money. If you have any info/comments on him, please post. Thank you all very much. Lee

HOLY COW!! That's a crazy good (bad) scam!! Do these things get thought up in prison by people with nothing better to do?
Thanks for the heads up as I can see how people would bite on that! I don't export animals but it goes to show you that we all need to be on the lookout for anything that sounds too good to be true.
Thanks for posting those links, I never saw the thread.

ok first off this guy has been trying to sucker people in for a while. He is not legitimate and is offering some animals that are not legally allowed export. (i.e. sungazers, Mad. Tree Boas, Mad. Ground Boas, etc etc.). He is someone that you should avoid to keep yourself from being ripped off. Of course he will sound professional, nice, and legitimate as he is trying to get you to send your money up front. Uganda has the highest number of "exporters" that are not legitimate than anywhere where else in Africa. Also if you have never imported before you really should do alot of research. Even though exporters have great prices there are more bad ones than good ones and once you have sent money to another country you are screwed. There is nothing you can do to get your money back. So you are aware the price of the animals is not the largest portion of importing. Freight is usually a majority of the cost. Most carriers have a minimum charge which is usually about $400. You will have freight to pay, your license cost ($50), you have to pay for USFW inspections ($55-$115 per shipment), you will have to have a broker ($150-$500 depending on the shipment), plus depending on where you are located and where the shipment lands you will have to have the freight forwarded to you. This will all depend on where it has to go, which carrier is being used. It is not cost effective to import small shipments because of the expenses involved. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me.

Uganda
Another one to watch out for Kalem Bandi in Uganda. He used to be a legitimate exporter. Scammed people out of a lot of money with 50% deposits and stalls with the excuse of waiting on CITES. Don't have any contacts or new business name?

be careful!!!!
I just wanted to say that Joe Mugasha also contacted me about some turtles. When I asked for pictures, I was provided with pictures I had seen on other sites on the net, not his own originals. One of them was directly from a site I have bought from in the past successfully. I would advise anyone to be careful, and buy at your own risk.

Definately a scam artist
I recently asked for pictures and I received photos stolen from VPI, Snakes Alive, and from other people in the states. He said "I took these photos yesterday and scanned them in this morning". I responded telling him that I know what he was up to, and that I knew the photos where stolen. I received a return email reading:
Mr. Lee Frey,
My photo collection in my compound attached, You can also see me in one photo
with one angolan python.
Sorry to inconvience you. I did know that you wanted me to picture from my
collection. Very sorry Lee.
Thank you, Joseph.
Now these are professional photos!!!!
Here is the picture of him and a Angolan Python

Here is a second "photo" he sent me in the same email. Check out the bottom left and right of the picture.

What do you think?

Haha, that is CLASSIC. Love that butchering he did on those pics. And he expected you to buy that garbage?
I especially like the BCI on the range in Africa.
