To brumate or not to?

I have heard that hogs MUST brumate to breed correctly....and then I have heard of people who do not.

Experiences?
Opinions?

I see the reason not to...aka feeding throughout Winter adds extra size...but if brumating leads to better clutches...I'd rather do that.

So...chime in if you have facts.

Definitely brumate thats how they breed in the wild. It gives you more chances of fertile eggs and you can keep track of ovulation of the females through their sheds.

And also with the female sheds you can keep track of when she will lay.
