Slow connections

Is anybody else experiencing extremely slow connections to this site and within the site? I'm having flash backs to when I had dial-up and would click on a page and leave the room and wait for it to load.

No, it wasn't your imagination. Earlier today it was just about impossible to get anywhere on Fauna. It seems much better now though.

I don't know if it had anything to do with it, but I know Rich is getting ready to do another server change.

Actually I had to reboot the server about an hour ago (around 7:15 pm). Loading was through the roof again with no real good reason I could see for it. I got the guy I am going to be getting the new server from take a look and he said he put some changes in the config file that may help. That was nice of him to to, when it isn't really his responsibility. Hopefully things will run better (for a while, at least) when we get on the new server.

This server move is supposed to take place on Wednesday, but I don't have an accurate target time for that to happen. At some hand beforehand, I am going to be making this site READ ONLY for the duration. Wish I was getting a $ for every email I'm going to get asking me why they can't post any longer on this site.....

Sorry about this. But believe me this is NOT my idea of a fun way to spend my time...

Oh, good an explanation. I thought it was my computer acting up again.
