Help.........sick Boa!!!!!!!!!

I was sent a boa in August with no insulation. When I opened the package snake had gotten sick and made a mess of it. I told the guy thhat it was to hot to not have some sort of insulation and possibly a cool pack. I have worked with the animal trying smaller and smaller food items and the snake gives back it's meal snake. I have not experienced a snake that has been over exposed to heat and don't have a reptile vet anywhere close to assist me. Does anyone have any suggestions,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Thank you...................There are a couple of vets that are about 100 miles from me. That is a list I'll hang on too. I have a vet locally, a great guy, willing to look at any critter but he is not a herp vet and is a little skiddish around snakes. It would be nice to have that posted on a better titled thread so others could find and better assist an animal in need............
