WANTED Infertile Finch eggs!!!

I am looking to buy up as many infertile finch eggs I can get. I will buy 50 lots! 100 lots! If they are fertile they must be fresh. These will be food for eastern Egg Eating snakes!

Please contact me at gary@proherps.com

Thanks!

Gary,

I wish you all the luck in the world, but this has got to be one of the oddest and more difficult tasks to accomplish! It might be easier to contact button quail breeders, the size of the egg is a "tad" larger but you might have better luck at finding them.

Here's an idea for consideration. Why don't you go to any veterinary clinic and purchase empty gelatin (they are 100% protein) capsules about the size you need. They are very inexpensive. You boil chicken eggs, make mash them and fill the casules (if you do it with the raw egg the gelatin will start to melt). Then you can paint them with raw egg and powder them with calcium carbonate (egg shell), and scent them with dead birds. It seems more complicated than it actually is and you will always have "eggs" at your fingertips. You can increase the size of the gelatin capsules as they grow until they take regular quail eggs. I've used gelatin capsules to force feed ball pythons at times in the past and it worked perfectly.

Good luck
