Rare lizards confiscated in robbery case!

I was on a monitor website earlier today, and found a strikingly amusing article posted.

http://p089.ezboard.com/fvaranuswebf...picID=25.topic

There is the article. I wonder what type of "neon" lizards they are talking about? Are there any neon blue and green gecko's out there?

The link is working for me. It takes me to a forum web site where there is a picture of a newspage inserted with a post.

The story does not occur on the Contra Coastal Times web site though.

Those blue tree and emerald tree monitors are bright. A non-herp person, or anyone accustomed to seeing mainly local, animals that are primarily brown, white, black etc. might consider the monitors "neon" colored.

Someone seems to be having a great good time with us.

This thread tells you all about it...

The guy in question for the "rubbery" is the whacko who supposedly adopted the monitors...

Which expains why he never got back to the other guy. So much for the son of a Baptist Minister being of fine moral fiber, eh? Rubbery...LOL

Well, I guess we now know how he planned on paying for food and care for them...LOL

Shanti, I did end up staying up late the other night to finish reading that thread. Once I started I couldn't just stop and go too sleep. As you said it was pretty funny and sad too. I just hope it's another joke.

I think both Peter and I look ridiculous in that thread; we fell for it for sure!

You have no idea how frustrating it was to talk to those two and keep a level head. I felt like a broken record and talking to a 6 year old! Also "Billy's" insistence that I was nothing but a reptile broker just rubbed me the wrong way.

Billy, Bob or what ever his real name is, was just out right rude to you, Stef. I was shocked. I'm sure it's just all a hoax. I can't see anyone with such a nice collection making that dissision. Then this article popping up, it has to be a hoax.
