Sun-kissed Indian smoothscale

This is a female that actually belongs to my partner, Rick Graves. He has a 1.1 pair that will hopefully be breeding soon. Until about a year or so ago, we had never even heard of these. She's an '03 I believe and she is a real sweetheart.

You know Scott I have no idea. The male looks just like her, and they were from a pair or normals, so as far as I know its a recessive gene. The male is her brother, but a year younger. The farthest back I know about them is that they were bred by Arizona State University, buts thats all I know. My partner Rick may know more. I normally stick with colubrids and he does boas, so I have no clue. Do you have a website or an email address for Rick Staub? I'm sure Rick G. would be interested in talking to Rick S. (lol)

This will be the first time breeding indians, so any helpful hints that you can think of would be very helpful. Thanks!

rick staub's email is debnrick@sbcglobal.net and there is a link to his website thru ks.com in the breeder section under his name. he suspects its a hypo-like dominant or partially dominant gene with his sunset line. i have a group of his sunset line, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation animals. all are outstanding, with very unique differences in pattern and intensity of the orange. . he has a great article on breeding johni on his website. i pretty much follow the advice there. if your partner comes across anymore from the university or decides to sell his pair please let me know. thanks, scott miller erycine1@aol.com
