Rainbows at Night

I love how Brazilians have a little white at nighttime so I took a couple pics. You can also see the difference between Strike and Dhalia. I can wait until she grows up!

...and just a cool shot of Dhalia's side.

Beautiful pair. Braz Rainbows are one of the most beautiful reptiles out there, I'm surprised they aren't more popular.

Those are very nice Brittany. Dhalia has a very interesting side pattern, haven't seen a pattern like that on a BRB, there seems to be hardly any black in with the that peachy color, so none of the usual orange crescents that most BRB's have, very interesting.

I was told on a different forum that she was probably a blush, but I dont know if that is genetic or not. She definately doesnt have normal cresents, but they are not filled in enough to be considered pearl...time will tell.

Pretty interesting stuff. I had no idea they changed like that. I mean, reptiles in general are sorta known for color phasing, but it usually serves a purpose. Most get darker at night, I reckon to absorb more warmth or something, but it's got me curious how these guys get lighter instead.

Neat stuff. Thanks for sharing.
