No. the short answer.

The long answer, No. Because they are not snakes, they need space and i don't keep healthy adults [over 18"] in anything less than 75-100gallon. Many ppl use at least 65 gallons. Floor space is more important than gallonage/height. 4'X2' is a great space for ONE. no housing together to cut corners.

Sara pretty much sumed it up for you, think of it like this..woudl you want to be kept in a closet or kept in a house with lots of room?...my point exactley, keeping them in small cages coudl stun their growth and just like sara said they arent a snale, they love room to move around, now dependgin on size mattes, I had a german giant female and kept her in a 125 gallon tank which did rather well for her, if its a baby its ok to atsrt out with like a 20 gallon LONG tank if its a subadult move up to your 55's to 65's. If a full grown adult then yes move up to a 75 or higher.

Do the math

it's a 39 gallon. you can try to squish a good adult into it, but it's not good enough for my beardies. I use 72X18X17" and 48X30X17".

Hey, you want to do it, fine. But don't come back when your beardie is constantly glass dancing and pacing and has nose rubs and issues.
Hey, you know what is a good idea? keeping a whole trio of dragons in that tank! the females will be making eggs all year round and you will save on so much space!

Sara, I know you truly mean well, but always answering in a condescending manner isn't going to help much, especially keeping in mind you're talking to a 13 year old boy. And telling him not to come back? C'mon. I have a 13 year old son.....I know what effect it has on them. At least the kid is asking if it's OK before he actually does it....so he DOES have a desire to do it the right way. Give him a chance.

Mark, a 30 gallon tank is much too small to keep an adult Dragon in. Not only would it be difficult to get a comfortable temperature gradient, it's just not enough room for him to play and get enough exercise to be happy and healthy. Do you already have the dragon, or just looking at getting one?
