Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Letting a baby go
Well my Boogie finally found a home. But he had to go to TN to catch a transport that would take him all the way to Mass to be with his new family. These transports are always so stressful and take all day and night to get to, wait for them to show up, load up, then drive home all lonely. But seeing him giving a hug to his new mommy was the best thing ever. Pictures of him playing with his new best friend Busta and even his kiddie pool to splash around in. It was well worth the 5 months fostering and teaching him to become a dog rather than an animal in a cage at a shelter. Goodbye my Boogie, I'll miss you!!

Well, my original intention was to keep him. I actually fully adopted him, however, my aussie had another idea in mind. Rather than seeing my aussie attack him anymore i had put him in the rescue system with some people i had worked with before at the shelter and sent some of our dogs to them. I adopted him shortly before he was to be euthanized. I just couldn't wait any longer, my feeling was I gave others plenty of time to get him, so that made it my turn. He was born in the shelter, adopted at 8 weeks old and returned around a month later. The person that returned him stated that he kept digging out of the yard. If I were a puppy alone in a yard all day I would dig too! he then spent the next 5 months growing up in the shelter. I met him shortly after he was returned as I had just started. I fell in love with him then and it continued for the next 4-5 months at the shelter. I just couldn't take being without him anymore. But, for his own safety and well being, I let him go to an awesome family. They have been emailing me and sending pictures everyday making it alot easier for me to deal without him. He is not my first foster and with any luck won't be my last. All of them have gotten great homes and it feels awesome to know I saved some of them from the needle. I can't save them all, but I do the best I can to help as many as I can. It's always hard to see them go, but knowing how happy they are after to have a chance at life, makes everything worth while. Thank you Lucille for your kind words.

Status Report
Thank you! Well he is doing great in his new home. I get pictures a couple of times a week and they let me know how much fun he is having with his new playmate Busta. He went to the best home possible and I know it was the right thing to do for him. He's going to be the happiest dog he can be there. They could not be happier that they chose Boogie and neither can I.
