Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I was at the Mankato show and it was small - small - small. The hour I was there I didn't see very much traffic at all. I hope they keep trying though. I don't think they did that much local advertising - I never saw ads in the paper and I live in Mankato.
I would definitely attend a show in Minnesota - and if I have enough animals, I would even purchase a table.

This is just an opinion. If we want a succesful show advertising is the key. We need to set-up a date, locate a spot, reserve the facilities and stick with it. Advertise it at every major show from now until then and contact prospective vendors. Chances of success will improve if it is run by those that have manifested a keen interest in having the show. If we have a committment of a few tables that might be paid upfront we will have enough money to reserve the facilities. After all we are not doing this for the money we might make selling tables. It ill be just for the fun of it! I'm not sure if I might have a table or not (more than likely yes) but I'm willing to "invest" in the cost of reserving one if that helps us raise the money to reserve the hotel.
