tailess crested geckos?

i've been wondering why i see so many crested geckos with out tails i dont keep this species and that is why im asking this question. Do they drop their tales very easily or what im just wondering im not putting anyone down who has tailess cresty's just wondering why it seems so common in this species.

They drop their tails much easier than other common geckos, in my opinion. Males will snap their tails off while breeding. I had one drop it's tail because it jumped off my hand onto the floor. I'v heard of them dropping their tails because it was barely caught on a watch band.

And since their tails do not grow back, once it's gone - it's gone. But you have to understand - they do not store fat in their tails, and they perform all life functions just as well without a tail. Some say males can actually breed better without a tail.

thanks ya thats what i was reading they breed better with out a tail thanks for responding.

How much does it bleed when they drop? I've never witnessed it happening.
