Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Short of doing that (and most likely being arrested for it), I cannot see how anyone, Texas herper or not, can keep anyone else from attending a reptile show.

Agreed.
Look, this is a very real concern, and a few people (mostly one) put a lot of effort into presenting an overwhelming amount of circumstantial evidence in this thread. So much so that most reasonable people would agree there is a concern, it is real, and it should be addressed.
That having been said there really is not much else you can do short of filing law suits, if you feel you have been injured by her actions. Some people have that case.
However, this thread has taken many bad turns, it now reads more like a personal vendetta against Ashley and anyone who associates with her. A representative sampling of posts could produce threats, insults, profanity, an uncomfirmed PM from her mother that has very little to do with reptiles and nothing at all to do with IBD, several attempts at psychological profiling, attacks on the entire state she happens to live in.
Perhaps that is why some people from other forums have come here, declared this as so much "drama", and not bothered to act on the information with regards to their own forums. I know that if I stumbled across this thread now that is a good possibility for me as well. That I have kept up from the beginning grants me a different perspective.
I am posting this now in hopes that the people who think they are helping Courtney by keeping this topical, and helping the hobby by continuing to expose Ashley will stop and think about how their posts might come over to someone who has not been here from post 1.
Seriously more harm than good will come from those types of posts. Gathering posts made by Ashley and comparing them to show her web of lies...good. Calling out her parenting skills...not helpful.
Advising show promoters of her activities to keep her off the vendor list...good.
Posting pictures of her on milk cartons and doing dna testing on all guests...not helpful.
It is too bad that moderators can not go back and delete any posts that have no business here, that actually detract from the credibility of this thread. Otherwise I think the overall impact will be very little, and the very tone this thread has taken might actually HELP Ashley make a reappearance into the hobby down the road. She can easily point to the pitchforks and torches and say people went off on her, and if they could not find anything then they just made it up.
Anyway, just think about how your post can be read, what it really says, and what impact it might have as a whole before posting. That is all I really want to say...

LMAO. You really are reaching because you hate the nation dont you Angel? Im sorry you and your "brother" were banned over there and now you feel the need to spread your viral trash every where. Gavin has 1500 friends on Facebook and because Ashley is going to be at the same show you say the things you say? People go to reptile shows Angel. Just because Gavin who sells snakes at shows will be at the sameone doesnt mean anything you posted. Who in their right mind would get what you said from Ashley saying she will be at the same show? Stop reaching Angel. Nobody stuck up for Ashley in that thread. Since your banned you wouldnt know this. They just dont like your drama you thrive for in your life.

Dragging Gavins name into this is wrong and childish. This thread isnt about him. Just because a simple hey I will be at that show facebook thread was posted doesnt mean half the crap you all are saying.
Keep this to what it is and stop speculation which I believe is against forum rules. Its about proof and only proof.

Except it very well could be a valid concern that she'll show up there because she can buy/sell in the parking lot at these shows. Just her mere presence could contaminate an area from mites or viral particles...
We simply do not know enough about the vertical or horizontal transmission of this condition to rest easy at this point.

I disagree that not much can be done. It is still legal to refuse admittance to undesirables... or are you implying that ANYONE that coughs up the admittance fee is welcome?
I do know that this kind of thinking (apparent lack of concern with quality and more concern with quantity) is why many in our community have stopped attending/purchasing at shows. At least, it's one of MY reasons.

okay her being at a show is on her. You missed my point that Angel is trying to make it sound like her and Gavin are business partners from a facebook thread. Agel stop bringing innocent peoples name into this because you are an infant who had sand kicked in his face.

Sure it is legal, but is it practical? How many people are going to attend the NARBC on Saturday? How many women? Is is realistic to think that some people working admissions would be able to cross check every woman that roughly fits Ashley's description with a photo?
I know for a solid gold fact that casinos employ tens of thousands of dollars in gear, computers and software to check the faces of everyone who walks through the door and compares it to file photos, using things are are impossible to alter without surgery like space between eyes and noses etc, and undesirables still get in every day. To ask untrained amateurs to stop one person is, I think, not going to be effective.

Fliers with info and picture could be handed out to the vendors, and they can make up their own minds to be cautious and on the look out, or not. That would probably be the most effective route, and legal as far as I know. Provided the wording was right, and not directly accusing with no hard proof.

Personally, I am not asking for all that, I am asking for a show of social responsibility and an attempt.
No cross-checking is needed, in the time that the admittance workers are taking money and stamping the backs of hands, a drivers license can be shown.
