Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Feeding Super Worms?
Hi-
I am extremely fortunate to have a local man that raises crickets-mealies and supers and I started buying them originally for my Bearded Dragons.
I have fed my adult Leos some of the supers but I seem to remember reading on here that some people advise not to feed supers to Leos.
How many of you do feed supers?
Also I have 3 of my adult Leos that just look at them like they are aliens-LOL- and they don't seem to recognize them as a food source even though they gobble up mealies like crazy- go figure-LOL!!.
Thanks
Sandy

You don’t have to worry about feeding supers, they are perfectly safe. Several of my leos feed on them and they love em’. What you’re probably thinking of is giant mealworms. I wouldn’t feed them as they’ve been given growth hormones.

Supers are Super!
I love using Supers. They are cleaner than crickets and not only that they are very active. Their movement triggers that good feeding response in leopards. Only problem I see is them climbing out of the glass ashtrays I use for feeding dishes, but being that I change paper towels in the cages every other day its not even really an issue.

I have 2 girls that will only eat supers (big ones too). I was a bit worried that supers are too 'fatty' and less 'healthy' than crickets, but....I couldn't get them off it; so they're getting 2-3 supers every 2nd day now.

I mainly feed mealworms and super worms to my geckos, and all of my geckos do not refuse supers. I prefer to feed them over crickets. I'll buy crickets every now and then, but I'd rather feed them worms. There is nothing wrong with them, and as Chad said they are cleaner.
When I feed supers I havea plastic tweezers that I came across in a pet store, they are pretty big and work great! I'll use those when I feed supers to all my geckos. Granted it is a bit more time consuming rather than putting the super worms in the dish, but I like to feed my geckos.
I also breed my own mealies and supers.

You could try supers on them to see if they would eat them since they move fast and your leos will more likely to feed on them since movement catches their attention.
Exactly how many wax worms are you feeding your leo? I hope you are feeding your leo waxworms as a treat only, they are very addicting. If you want to feed something that is like waxworms, try butterworms. They are high in calcium and better than feeding waxies to your leo. If you are feeding too many cut back and feed something else like crickets, mealworms, super worms, butter worms, silk worms, or even try roaches.

I wouldn’t even feed waxworms, even as a treat. They are very addicting and are like crack for leos. They have very little nutritional value and are high in fat. If you want to feed something similar to waxworms try silkworms. They are a lot more nutritious.
Like Shayna said try the supers as they are a lot more active than a regular mealworm.
