Western Hognose - Can lizards be food?

I was reading online about the feeding habits of western hoggies, and I saw that in the wild, they're known to eat small rodents and lizards. Where I live, there are lizards all over the place (I'm pretty sure the species of lizards are anoles), and I'm curious if it'd be safe to feed one to a snake.
