The Troll Poll

Every once in a while even on the best of sites a troll will gain entrance. We are not talking spam bots or people trying to sell you stuff, trolls arrive with the intention of disruption. Here's a poll to see what you think ought to be done with trolls.

What criteria are you using in your determination of who is and who is not a troll?

Are there exceptions to those criteria?

Well, who and for what reason are they a troll, cause someone says so?

Tar and feather them:
these are not the dark ages lol but if tar and feathers are your thing so be it! Tar and feather now, ask later!

Ignore them that is the only effective solution, they vanish without attention:
OK so you say.... And who is here and why?

Quietly, without comment, delete their posts:
why? If you think they are a troll why delete proof of it?

Make fun of them:
for what reason, they can do that all on their own!

Pretend to take them seriously:
you must mean that in jest and that would just be rude if you PRETEND to take them SERIOUSLY, so be yourself and let them do the same!

Use them for target practice:
I think that's illegal but that depends.....

What's a troll?
So you want to know now?

Set your site to automatically forward them to your least favorite other site:
I don't know, I was not around in the times of the .com battles of redirects

Feed them to the polls
Now really, that is just weird! The Polls Ate who and who were fed to them, hmm BUSH, yeah feed him to the polls!

other:

Get real!

No, Kelli, you weren't trolling. But certainly I'm sure you know that the kind of drivel I saw on your site will not be permitted here and anything of that nature will in fact be deleted in this forum.

Here you go:

In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who comes into an established community such as an online discussion forum, and posts inflammatory, rude, repetitive or offensive messages designed intentionally to annoy or antagonize the existing members or disrupt the flow of discussion, including the personal attack of calling others trolls.
