Sorta new

Hi everyone, my name is Matt Walker. I'm originally from Steubenville Ohio, but for the moment I'm in Kent Ohio attending graduate school. I'm not new to reptiles, but I am newer to the on-line herp community. I'm a fairly quiet and reserved person, so I tend to lurk more than post. I mostly answer unanswered questions and those that are given bad or incomplete advise. I am trying to get into the on-line thing more and more, so hopefully you'll here more from me in the future.

Like a lot of people I got started with wild caughts as a kid, and just never looked back. I have kept a decent variety of reptiles over the years, but most of my experience is with North American colubrids. I enjoy field herping as well as keeping and breeding, and think that anyone that keeps only is really missing out on what being a herp enthusiast is really about.

Well that's it for now. I hope to meet some new herper friends, and eventually hope to do some trading/buying/selling. So until then good luck with all your ventures.

HELLO! and Welcome to Fauna!! i hope you enjoy it here!! What do you have currently in your collection?

HI!! Welcome! I havent been around that long myself but I've found this group to be a good set of people with some very good insight from time to time. Hope you enjoy Fauna as much as I do.

I've been here reading posts and checking the BOI on many occasions, but didn't join until recently.

Currently I have Cornsnakes, Leucistic Texas Ratsnakes, Western Hognose, Ball Pythons, Boas (BCI), Crested Geckos, Leopard Geckos, and a Red-foot Tortoise.

I am just finishing up with my master's, so hopefully there is a good job in my future along with a house and therefore more room to expand my collection. I really need more room, there's only so much the wife will let me cram in our little apartment.

I've kept a lot of other things while I was in high school. Some I plan on keeping again, some I am going to stay away from at all costs.
