Defanged....SERIOUSLY!!! I dont own any hots but i have read enough ads in the forums here...i know that fangs break and regrow. And feel extremely sorry for the person who thinks thats it for the venom and starts handeling him.

For adoption is a three year old King Cobra. he has been defanged. he is actualy very cuddly as long as he is not hungry, but then again so am I. he has a striking personality. must have knowledge of Cobra's. small rehoming fee. Happy New Year all. serious people only. Angus is waiting for you.

I copied and pasted what the add says

Yeah I don't think cuddly is the best wording when it comes to a cobra. Love how they look but that's as far as it goes for me.

Defanged, cuddly king cobra for cheap on craigslist...? :eek3: Highly unlikely. I'm thinking (and really hoping) that's someone's idea of a joke. That or it's mislabeled as part of a scam.

To add to the topic though - I do see a lot of rattlers for sale on my local craigslist. Seems like people just go out and catch them for a profit (I believe that's illegal here without a permit) What makes it so worrying is how they just advertise its' shock value, basically saying how awesome they look and that everyone will be impressed at how cool you are for catching one. They never mention buyer requirements such as age or experience either, just "first one to give me $100 gets a diamondback". The whole thing struck me as being aimed at young adults especially.

Scary is right!

I'm hoping that ad is as sarcastic as it comes across to me. "Striking personality." LOL

Probably a test to see if any actual idiots respond? " Actual knowledge of cobras" So, respond and see what this person has to actually say? Inquiries are a useful tool
