Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I thought that name sounded familiar. My husband happened upon an ad for turtles matching the ones shown in another thread, but something about it just seemed sketchy and he didn't bother to contact him. So glad he didn't now that I've seen what this guy is up to.

I just received an inquiry about this thread. Please note, my name is Jason Williamson and my email address is jaywilliamson@hotmail.com.
As you can see, there is someone in the Baltimore MD area that has not only ripped me off for about $1500 worth of turtles, but now this person is trying to create accounts with names like Jason Williams and Jaye Williamson. It is really frustrating for me to have my name confused and have to explain that I am not a scammer after being a victim of this person. I've been breeding turtles for over 18 years on a small hobbyist scale and I have always just wholesaled my hatchlings to a handful of exporters (the reason I don't have a trader rating positive or negative). I just recently created my account here on fauna (about a year ago) and have had plenty of great transactions and can provide good references if anyone needs those.

That is a shame Jason that this is happening to you. Seems like this person who is scamming people left and right is trying new and different tricks to bypass the search engines of Google and Fauna. Could you please post all the info you have on this guy?
