Who needs a tail

Mom is a Blue Agouti and dad is a Pink eyed Siamese, not quite sure what color this one will be and not sure it will be able to walk

Ugh the cuteness! I miss my ratties

Wonder if it'll pass on a 'tail-less' gene? That would be fun! I'm sure more people would keep rats if they didn't have the tail, which I find is the most disliked thing about them.

There are manx rats it is a recessive gene. Although it's hard to know if this is a manx or a mishap until you inbreed its offspring. If it is genetic you really should cause they are rare!

This is the 3rd manx our lines have produced so it's not a mishap it's genetic.
The first one died at 1 week old this one is now breeding and another manx was just born this past week at my other partners who is running this line of rats too.
This female has been breeding the manx carrier male that's producing them and should be pregnant by now,
have to ask my partner since this female manx is at his house breeding.
Good stuff!

I love manx rats, if you were anywhere near me I'd have to get one from you. No manx around here.
