I have a Robin, well quit a FEW Robins in my backyard!! We have a nest under our porch and we can see at least one baby. The Dad guards the ground and the mom's always perched on the porch posts or flying around on the guard. I've gotten to see the baby today and the poor guy was shivering! It's a regular Robin from Ohio with a red chest, I tried looking them up but couldn't find anything on them. Do you think dropping some meal worms or worms found from my property into the nest, would help the birdie family out? I was thinking about a bird seed bell, but then thought that would attract other birds, and there would be fighting. Ok, first off we have woods infront of our house. Everyday I walk outside there are 5 or 6 little bunnies, and groundhogs are out not to mention a bunch of cute birdies. I have even caught the red cardinals I think here?? Well! There all red, and purtty! I live on the second story, and our stairs are steep going up. The birdies nest is right in the corner parelell my door, and I can see just one through the crack. My neighbor found the nest (we knew there was one cause Mommy wouldn't fly to far away!), and he climbed up to see if anything was in there and Mommy came flying at his head! I hope she doesn't abandone them, besides that they haven't been messed with. I just wish there was some way I could kinda help, without her freakin out. This baby is big, not newborn, but can't fly yet. I just hope the poor little guy doesn't fall out, its a long way down! To long! Poor birdie!!!
