We Remember Them

At the rising of the sun and at its going down
We remember them.

At the blowing of the wind and the chill of Winter
We remember them.

At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of Spring
We remember them.

At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer

At the rustling of the leaves in the beauty of Autumn
We remember them.

At the beginning of the year and when it ends

As long as we live, they too will live for they are now a part of us,

Never forget. I have a younger brother who was born in June of 2001 and he doesnt realize the significance of the event. Its sad really. some people dont realize how much this devestated America as a people. Never forget this date

RIP all the people who lost their lives. You are missed.

Even though I was fairly young when it happened, I will never forget that day for as long as I live.
But a lot of people were too young to remember it at all.
Some of the young men fighting in Iraq right now were only 8 when this happened, and they may not even remember that day.
But we must all never forgit.
My prayers are with all of the people who lost a loved one that day.

I still remember where i was and what i was doing on that morning 9 years ago. I was setting up the Christmas displays at the store i was working at when one of my fellow managers told us that a plane had flown into one of the Twin Towers. All i did on the way home, while listening to the news on the radio, was cry for those who were lost, and the friends and family that had suffered such a loss.

I will never forget.

I remember that day. My step mom and I were on our way to the beach and we stopped at a gas station. I remember her coming outside and saying, "I think something terrible has happened" I told her it was probably just a movie on tv. We didn't hear it on the radio because we played cd's the whole time. But when we arrived at our hotel room we spent the rest of the day watching the news in utter disbelief.

We're headed out for our yearly trip to Shanksville today to pay our respects.

All those lost...will not be forgotten.

On that day I was driving a truck for a living and was going to be crossing the GW bridge there in NYC. I was maybe only 30mins away when the first plane hit and the news started breaking over the radio. I took an alternate route and told my dispatcher the load was gonna be late. I didn't know how many were coming but I didnt want to be on one of the main bridges if that happend to be a target as well.
