Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Hi from Australia
Hey guys, Ive been lurking and reading threads here for a little while and i thought id say hello. Seems like a friendly place.
I live in outer Melbourne ,southern Australia(Victoria) and ive been into herps for a long as i can remember,a long time anyway.
I relocate venomous snakes for the locals,and rehabilitate injured animals for release.
While my passion is for elapids i also keep an assortment of other animals aswell.
Looking forward to exchanging info and making some friends and enemies,(joke).

Thanks cat,thats an eastern mainland tiger snake (notechis scutatus) very common around here and one of our most dangerous snakes.
This particular one was bumping uglies with his lady on a building site when i caught up with them.The contractor wanted them moved.. He is a lovely chocolate colour that you dont see to often.

Hi Baz,
I'm a newbie here myself and it's good to see another fellow Aussie.
I'm from Sydney and do pretty much the same work as yourself relocating 'troublesome' herps among other things. We don't get too many tigers up here, and no copperheads (I think that I saw some copperhead pics from you here on another thread). I mainly get red bellies, browns, the odd tiger, and then stuff like brown tree snakes, green trees, diamond pythons and the odd carpet python as well as lots of golden crowned snakes.
Probably the oddest snakes I have gotten here were a small eyed snake and a gravid Rough scaled snake Tropidechis carinatus. No doubt visitors from the countryside in both cases!
I will post some pics soon as well but look forward to seeing more of yours as you are a much more skilled photographer!

Wow you relocate venomous snakes in Australia, huh? That sounds great! Did you know or ever meet Steve Irwin? I miss seeing him & getting valuable information from him. He is truly missed.
It is nice to see you doing your part to help out over there, he would be proud to see his work being carried on.

Hi Kingbrown, I met Steve and his family a few years ago, 2004, and he made myself and my family feel as if we were a part of his family..
We loved that guy,
i have many photos of our time at the Australia Zoo and they are some great memories.
also there is mountains of information (on the net) about black headed pythons compared to what we had a fewe years ago.
