Pine and the effect

Does anyone know where I can find documented proof about the effects of using pine shavings . I know most ppl don't get a toxicology reports done on there snakes if they pass. Just having a friendly debate . There response is always the same well I know people that use it for years and never had a problem. Also I know it neurological so many might not noticed if there snake/reptile is effected.

Also if you know there's nothing at all wrong with using it. Would also like to know the pros of using. Plus if its ok on smaller snakes like milks and kings ...

Me personally wouldn't use.... Would just like to know pros/ cons

Thanks in advance,
Craig

Never had any problems with pine, are you referring to cedar? Cedar is known for not being good for reptiles.

Pine I have read Pine is believed by many veterinarians and veterinary pathologists to contain many of the toxic qualities as its cousin, cedar. Just wondering if any keeps ever had any ill effects from using pine shavings.
