so like... that is pretty much a scam... but he posted right below the ad.... can he do that? or is that not good? should he have opened a BOI on him?


Its obvious thats a scam... but... like, moderators, do you double check this guy? his listing?

just curious on this.... is it ok to post below...

I believe that there isn't supposed to be quite that degree of editorialization in replies to classifieds ads. Posting just a link to the person's existing BOI thread seems to be the accepted way of handling that situation. If the person doesn't already have a BOI thread, you're free to create one. Simply put a bit of thought into the header and wording. For something like that ad, I'd think an INFO or INQUIRY thread would likely be appropriate. Although the pricing may make it pretty unlikely that it's not a legitimate ad, there's still not quite enough there to officially label someone as a Bad Guy, IMHO.

As far as potential scams are concerned, it'd be pointless to try to involve the moderators. The powers that be don't take an official stance in deciding what is or isn't a scam. Their role is to enforce the site's rules. There's no rule that says someone can't try to run a scam.
