Facebook cracking down on animal sales

Well, seems Facebook is doing its annual to bi-annual crackdown on pages selling animals, which is technically against their terms of service but have been seemingly allowed for the past two years (perhaps because of the whole Russia scandal). I think a lot of young folks new to the hobby are so used to using social media that static forum websites are literally not even on their radar, despite how stable they are.

Might be a good idea for members to start advertising Fauna again where ever possible?

I would suspect that Mark Zuckerberg is strongly influenced by the opinions of the anti pet trade organizations.

It's been against their ToS since 2011 to not allow private to private sales of animals. Registered businesses who sell live animals have always been allowed to sell, however. I don't think it's about the influence of anti-pet trade organizations in this case and more of that they're no longer distracted by the Russia investigation. The last animal sales purge happened in 2015, a year before the 2016 election. I think it's just a simple reallocation of personnel away from political damage control and back to enforcing normal policy.
