Juvenile Prehensile-Tailed Skink #1
After much deliberation we have decided to test the waters and sell some of our juvenile CBB Corucia zebrata from Isabel Island. These guys are rather uncommon and even less from pure lines as it was relatively recently that different island locales were recognized in the hobby. They are still considered the same species, but the Isabel Island types are very large and robust as adults with very variable color and pattern. Their most distinctive feature is the darker eyes in many of the specimens.
This guy is 15 months old and very likely a male. We do not evert the hemipenis for fear of damaging them but he has all the secondary sexual characteristics expected from a male plus has two moderate bulges on both sides of the tail base. Eating anything offered but turnip greens, pothos, mulberry leaves, spinach tree leaves and pepper leaves are relished. Papaya, mixed veggies, tomatoes, mangoes, carrots, cantaloupes, etc. round up their meals with the occasional moistened Mazuri tortoise chow to add even more variety and a tad of protein.
We are asking $1500 for this guy plus shipping via next day air. No trades at this time and the price is firm.
Feel free to ask any questions pertinent to the purchase of this baby.
Thanks,
Ivan
