Maybe a new combo

Kind of hard to tell because even fire enchi isn't very extravagant but I'm pretty sure I hit an enchi fire het red, its a male so I'll find out before too long. Definitely a fire and the rest will need to be proved out. Not a real heart throb of a combo if it is the triple but it's still got a lot of power none the less. This little guy is under 100 grams still so there is a ton of coloring up and growing to do.

I could maybe see fire het red....but I'm having a very difficult time seeing any type of enchi influence in that animal.

Do you have a picture of the entire clutch together for comparison?

wish you all the luck with the little guy tho =)

I would have to agree...the black backing just isnt there for het red...and the banding and blushing and cleanness of an enchi is missing as well

I know fires, het reds, and enchis are all very subtle morphs. But an enchi fire is not THAT subtle to people who know enchis, and I would think adding het red to it would make it all the more obvious.

Still wouldn't mind seeing a clutch picture, that can help a lot with color comparison and what not.

I would suspect with the het red you would not see any yellow or orange coloration, going by what I hatched out for het red stuff this season. so I would have to say just a busy pattern fire.

Guess you guys could be right, definitely not going to let it go until test breeding though. Het red and enchi can be way more subtle in fire than you guys think. I've seen some VERY subtle het red and enchi fires. I'm not saying that it is but I wouldn't let it go for $100 when I know there is a chance of something else going on.

I have to agree, looks like a single gene fire.
