I have no idea....maybe they need a lot of space. I forgot to mention that mine were in a 55 gallon tank....maybe that made the difference. There were live and fake plants and lots of climbing areas. I even watched them mate....the male circled the female bobbing his head constantly, then he even took her tail in his mouth as he bobbed, it was comical [ he wasn't biting ] Then he mated with her as most lizards do.

Fabulous! Lol I think emerald swift 1st choice, sandfish 2nd choice, and fire skink 3rd choice!

Oh, and parasites. Are they immune? Sorry to keep asking the same question, the parasite's horrible and I never want to deal with it again.

It doesn't seem logical that any critter would be completely immune to parasites.

I know, but at least somewhat hard to get them.

Lucille is right, just pick out healthy animals, have their set up ready and they should thrive. All wild caught lizards will have some parasites but that is natural.

Um, there's a PetCo about an hour away, we've been there, and I know there's a male emerald swift. Just one. If I got it, would it be a good choice? Whenever I see him, he's always on the ceiling sitting there.

Well, just be sure he looks lively and healthy. See if they can get him to move around, or if he'll go after a cricket.
