Northeast Ohio Reptile Expo June 23rd

http://www.freewebs.com/reptileexpo/

Is anyone planning on attending/vending? Its a couple hours away for me but looks like it is going to be quite a bit larger than our monthly Columbus show. They don't have a vendor list or any real info on it though...

I am thinking about it. I own Pro Herps. Just have not made my mind 100%. Everything sounds good though

Bumping this up. Does anyone have more info on this show. I am interested, however it will be a three hour drive if I go. I have made long drives to "expos" that end a bust with maybe a dozen vendors. So is there anyone with more inside info. (vendor's attending, etc.) I'm wondering as there is very little advertising or buzz for this show.
Thanks.

I drove three hours and I was a vendor. I thought it was worth it. It picked up around 10 then died down then picked up again. For a first show it was a great one IMO. SOme vendors did ok others did great.

Not all vendors showed up though. You can not fault the person running it or the vendors that did show up.

All in all I am looking forward to the next show.

Was there a good diversity at least or mostly venomous? How many vendors were there?

If I had to guess. 7 vendors with hots. and maybe 30 vendors with nonvenomous. There may have been more but there was about 10 to 15 empty tables. Many vendors haveing 2 and 3 tables.

Hots that I seen.

Mojave Rattle Snakes. I ended up with them all and sold one of them. lol
Eastern Diamond Backs
Western Diamond backs
Monacle Cobras LOTS OF THEM. Buddy Shawn had a lot of them. All looked great!
Black and White Spitters
Black Spitters
Gaboon Vipers
Rhino Vipers
Eyelash Vipers
Wagler Vipers Eating F/T meals at that! Almost took them all lol)

Brad had some other type of cobras too but I forget what they were. There was more there. Just posting what I remember off the top of my head.

I am sure the next one will even be better. See it is a two way street. Vendors go but if people are not buying they do one of two things. They slim down what they bring and only bring the things that sell GREAT or stop going. And if vendors are not there the die hards customers stop going. So this show needs a little of both. Give it time it will even get better. Will is doing everything he can to make this thing go. He spent a lot of time and money in advertising.

I will talk to Will about his site. I will see if I can get it going where he has a vendors list. And ways to contact this vendors for the customers so that you can even request things you would like to see.

Guys remember this was a first show. And it turned out great i have seen shows that have been around for a year or two that did not do this well. It will only get better and that makes me very happy

It was a very nice little local show that probably will do well if the 30 or so vendors stick with it.But for me it was the nightmare on elm street ! I didn't sell 1 animal after traveling 2 hr.+ so more than likly I won't go back .
