Opinions on starting a project..

I've been out of the game so to speak for awhile now, just keeping one or two snakes as pets for a couple of years. Some of you may remember me from years ago on these forums. Anyways, took some time off to join the Air Force and get a couple years of college done.

What should I start with? I'm looking at a group about 2.4 or so, and looking to spend around $2,000. There are a few things I want for sure (lesser, and an albino). I remember when I first wanted an albino they were 1-2k depending on sex. Boy how things change. So what would be a good group to start breeding projects?

1.2 albino/het trio

Then I'd get like, a lesser, pastel het albino, and a pin or spider. Just me tho

You can get a pair of Albinos for pretty cheap, a trio of visuals would be even better. No Hets, all Albino babies. As far as Lessers go, I would say get a Lesser Pastel male, I am not sure how much they are now, but if they are too expensive, I would say get a Super Pastel male and Lesser female.

How does this group sound...
1.0 Spider het Albino
0.1 Albino
1.1 Het Clown
0.1 Lesser
0.1 Pastel or Super

Then I make spider albinos, spider lessers, clowns, and save the pastel for a male clown which I'll hopefully make to start the pastel clown project.

I always tell people to get what they like. Someone else might like different things. You can't really go wrong with whatever you get. Good luck.

Well, so far I'm at 1.0 Lesser, 0.1 Pastel Ghost, 0.1 Genetic Stripe. I have a pair of snakes I'm waiting to hear back about, and am thinking about adding a female spider or mojave. Especially if I can find one that is het hypo! Like I anticipated, I already filled the rack I bought (I have 2 adult Rosies as well), and am probably ordering a 2nd rack haha. Man these things are addicting.

You should try Mark, over at BBCreptiles. He may still have a few mojaves for sale.
