Crazy Pattern Reply

Hi,
The Parents were wild caught animals from south Texas.
Collected off of Fm. 624 and Hwy. 16 south they produced
A clutch of 7 eggs’ all seven hatched, two of the seven snakes
hatched with pattern anomalies, the pic posted would be the
most unusual of the patterns out of this clutch . Long nose snakes are
not commonly kept due to their refusal to feed readily.
But I do think they are underrated in the herp keeper’s opinion
The hatchlings are a bit easier to get to feed and not much more
or any harder work to get started feeding than some of the common
Kings’ and milk snakes being offered in today’s market.
Although Variant by color from locality to locality some being
brighter than others in Red and black or the lack of , still makes this species interesting every time I look at one.

Peace Out!
Randy

Yea, a lot of the not so common, and not so colorful or whatnot, herps can be quite intriguing. A lot of the underrated common stuff can be cool too.
