Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

LAKEWOOD – Police officers in Lakewood requested a search warrant Saturday after finding more than 150 reptiles neglected at the Colorado Reptile Company. According to agent Rob Albrets with Lakewood Police, officers received several tips over the past few days that the store’s owner wasn’t taking care of the reptiles at the 7827 W. Jewell Ave. business. When animal control went to check on things, they found a dead snake, and numerous reptiles without water. “When animal control went out to do a welfare check on them, the door was open, but no one was inside,” Albrets told 9News. The owner of the store showed up when police were on-scene Saturday afternoon. Police spoke to him and decided not to file charges at this time. The incident remains under investigation.

This is awful! Both for your financial loss and for the neglect of the animals. I am glad the police are investigating. Definitely a bad guy case. Thanks for posting this here so others don't get taken. I'm sorry that you are going through this!

I'm confused; if the boa was allegedly a gravid female who passed due to complications, as the owner stated, why was the enclosure labeled as a male? Sounds fishy to me... I was in that store once before and found the owner very uncooperative. I asked about the origins of a white-eyed croc skink, Tribolonotus novaeguineae, and he told me he could not disclose who produced it or where it came from. I then said I was interested in purchasing, but needed a little more background, so I asked if it was WC or CB to which he replied "obviously WC, these are super rare and no one else in the state has them". I responded by politely saying novaeguineae are not exactly "super rare", and that there are plenty of people who work with them which would indicate the possibility of a CB popping up for sale. He then said "this isn't novaeguineae, or whatever that is, this is a white eyed croc skink." I told him that it was the latin species level designation for the animal, and he just stared at me. Since I know that some importers are more trustworthy than others with their stock, I then asked if he could tell me who he got the animal from. Again, he refused, saying that it would be a "breach in confidentiality and he would be blacklisted and refused business from his suppliers ever again". I laughed, left the store, and never returned.

I know where that $1400 came from! Me! I have no clue why this didn't come up when I searched for any info the last month before I posted something. A good buddy did a search for me and got this thread. This sob told me the exact opposite and put everything on Travis. Can't believe I got rookied by this guy. Played the innocent victim in all this. He's gonna get what's coming to him one way or another. I'll be filing my police report in the morning. I have a lot of text from this guy and one or two he sent me on accident talking about obvious drug stuff. I'm sure the police will love that.

On 11-1-16 I received my animals from Justin. He was very apologetic about the delay and stress it caused me. I was issued a partial refund for the troubles. As for the above mentioned questionable text messages, it was determined it was taken out of context and I no longer feel that way. As for the allegations in the police report, every one deserves their day in court. I think we need to hear Justin's side of the story. Hopefully he can fully resolve this situation, move on and leave this all behind him. I hope you got your issues resolved also Michael.
