WANTED: Adult Female Furcifer Lateralis Lateralis (Carpet chameleon) WC or CB

I'm willing to pay up to $90 shipped. I live in Miami, FL so if there is anyone nearby that has pickup would be nice!

Thanks,

I don't think you will find a cb adult female carpet, and not for $90. Even wc animals are atleast $90 then you have to ship. My advice is look on kingsnake, and try to find an importer around you, where you can go and possibly pick up an animal. Also ther are some younger animals, (about a month) that are cb for sale. If you are willing to wait, it would be worth it. WC carpets are very hard to acclimate, especially females. So I would recommend going the cb route. You may have to wait a few months, but your male will be fine. They live loger than females by a landslide. I know keepers that have males that are almost 3 years old, but its pretty rare for a female to go past a year or year and a half tops if bred that is. Good luck.

Jeffrey, this is a copy of a response I left earlier to your most recent thread on KS, but in case you didn't notice it, I thought I would repost it here.

I know you and your brother are doing a lot of research about your chameleons, and that is great. I applaud you. However, I recall numerous posts from the two of you regarding issues or problems you were experiencing with your chams. This is somewhat normal, as unfortunately there must be a learning curve. But, I just noticed an ad on FaunaClassifieds from tassardar (your brother I believe) inquiring about getting a Female Carpet chameleon. Don't you two think you should take this a little slower, and perhaps let the juvenile chameleons you have presently get a little older. Do you have enough financial resources to have vet care for all of them if necessary?
I know it can be a bit addictive when you first become interested in chameleons, but I think it would be best if you waited a little longer before getting too many more animals. Your chameleons aren't old enough for you determine if you are doing something wrong regarding their husbandry (as shown with the potential for MBD with your Carpet).
