Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Thanks for posting that crime.

Okay, so you should have capitalized "crime" for clarity.

I don't know about everyone else but an animal that tries to eat but dies while doing that just doesn't sound right to me. It has been my experience that sick animals don't usually try to eat. From what you've said here it doesn't sound like you noticed anything wrong with the snake ? Did you have a necropsy done to try and determine what caused it to die ? I have to wonder since they were shipped together if the male had some illness the female was likely exposed to it and here 8 months later she's still kicking. I hate to say it but something about your story just doesn't seem right. Randy

I've known James for quite a few years now, and he is a good and honest man. He has been working with the "big worms" (aka Kenyans ;-) for several years. My point is that he doesn't lie and he knows what he is doing when it comes to snakes.

Randy, I have had snakes die while eating, and shortly after eating. These were healthy snakes, with no signs of any illness. I watched them have seizures, unable to do anything.
Now, I am not saying that the snake had any kind of seizure. It was left unattended, so nobody can say what happened. If it had a seizure, I wouldn't think of holding JandJ accountable for something like that. James seems to have accepted the fact that he was outside of the guarantee period. It was JandJ who offered a replacement animal , at cost. I don't see where James is trying to gain anything from this. It looks like he is just sharing his experience. The death of the snake may have had nothing to do with JandJ, and it would have been within reason to make him get a necropsy before making any kind of decision. They did not though. They made him an offer, and it didn't work out the way it was explained.

Randy,
You could be right, the situation was odd, so if you have ideas I'm open to suggestions. The lack of followup probably disturbed me more than the death itself....HOWEVER, I just came back in from running errands and had a message from Josh waiting on me...In it, he states that they have not forgotten me, but just have not had any kenyans in their inventory of late. Therefore, I may have been premature in my post, which is why I tried to stick to the facts.
Because my prior post was less than flattering, I felt that I should at least give them credit that they contacted me. As I stated before this kinda thing just isn't me, so I'll bow out of this one...

The snake we ordered from them arrived this morning. It was exactly as described, arrived on time, and was adequately packaged.
Thanks,
