Any Ideas?

I have had 2-3 clutches from females that were 2 eggs a piece and one egg is fertile and the other not. These are from 1st year breeders, is this normal?

Pat, this is very normal. Most females that are under 1 1/2 years old and under 55g are not as productive. Females in their second and third years are always much more productive. Aleast in my experiences.

Hello
Again yes it is normal for first year breeders. However many times have I checked the eggs for fertility and one would have no visible veins. I always incubate for a week then check again. Many of the times boom there they are.

Definately normal, but you can get one here and there that does really good the first time. I got 20 fertile eggs from one girl last year! She came from Marcia @GGG, and is doing very well BTW Marcia, if you are reading.

She will be paired with my Mack Het Tremper pretty soon, and is a Jungle/Reverse Striped Tremper herself. Might need a rack just for her babies alone huh? LOL
